RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 4 to Contract No. 14-857 with Biggs Cardosa Associates, Inc., increasing the contract amount by $170,000, from $2,372,211 to $2,542,211, to provide additional funds to complete the environmental permits and drainage design services, and incorporating all applicable required California Department of Transportation terms and conditions for the bridge replacement project on Glen Helen Parkway over Cajon Wash in the Devore area, with no change to the term of October 21, 2014 through December 30, 2027.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Department of Public Works (Department) is funded by Gas Tax revenue, fees, and other federal, state and local funding. Costs associated with the Glen Helen Parkway Bridge over Cajon Wash in the Devore Area (Project) are funded by the Federal Highway Bridge Program at 88.53% ($2,250,619), and the County match of 11.47% ($291,592) is funded with Discretionary General Funding allocated in the Department's 2015-16 Road Operations budget. Sufficient appropriation and revenue are included in the Department's 2024-25 Road Operations budget (6650002000 11H14646).
