RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Service Agreement No. 23-46 with Ability Network, Inc., changing the legal name of the service provider to Inovalon Provider, Inc., retroactively effective September 27, 2023, with no changes to the contract amount of $83,955 or contract period of 60 months beginning February 1, 2023 through January 31, 2028, automatically renewing each year until terminated by either party.

Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the contract assignments are non-financial in nature.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Amendment No. 1 (Amendment) for a legal name change of Service Agreement No. 23-46 (Agreement) with Ability Network, Inc. (Ability Network) to Inovalon Provider, Inc. (Inovalon) to provide secure exchange service access to Medicare and Medicaid services. The Agreement will ensure that Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is compliant with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regarding license maintenance. Ability Network licenses allow for the use of Medicare National Provider Identifier (NPI) numbers and provides access to the Medicare Direct Data Entry, Ability Ivan's Now server. Without access to use the Ability Network Ivan's Now server or NPI numbers, ARMC would experience a delay in net reimbursement, loss in revenue if timely filing of claims is exceeded, and additional expense to reinstate access and use.
