Recommendation
Approve Program Supplement Agreement No. F134 to Master Agreement No. 08-5954F15 between San Bernardino County and the State of California Department of Transportation, which allocates $2,192,587 of federal Public Lands Highways Program funds toward the $2,192,587 cost to construct pavement improvements on Needles Highway from 500 feet south of Park Road north to David Drive, in the City of Needles.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Department of Public Works (Department) is funded by Gas Tax revenue, fee revenue, and other federal, state and local funding. The total estimated cost of construction for Needles Highway Segment 1B, from 500 feet south of Park Road north to David Drive (Project), is $2,192,587. All costs associated with the Project will be funded with federal Public Lands Highways (PLH) Program funds through the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). Sufficient appropriation and revenue are included in the Department's 2021-22 Road Operations budget (6650002000 14H14876) and will be included in future recommended budgets.
