RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve Amendment No. 3 to Agreement No. 23-1325 with CEP America - California, for emergency medicine services at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, to revise the payment schedule to reflect Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator's Department reimbursement for inmate emergency medical services, with no change to the total contract amount of $70,850,549 plus variable amounts, and no changes to the contract term of January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2026.
2. Direct the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors to maintain the confidentiality of Amendment No. 3 to Agreement No. 23-1325, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 1457(c)(1).

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The cost of $70,850,549, plus variable amounts, is funded by the State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) and the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator's (Sheriff) Department 2025-26 budgets and will be included in the respective 2026-27 recommended budgets.
