Recommendation
Approve contract with Social Science Services Inc. dba Cedar House Life Change Center for the provision of residential treatment services for adults with co-occurring mental health and/or substance use disorders, in the amount of $2,213,835, for the period of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2025.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The amount of $2,213,835 for these residential recovery services is funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration Community Mental Health Services Block Grant. Adequate appropriation and revenue will be included in the Department of Behavioral Health's (DBH) 2020-21 recommended budget and in future recommended budgets.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
DBH is responsible for providing behavioral health services to San Bernardino County residents experiencing a behavioral health condition, substance use disorder, and/or other addictions. An integral part of the service delivery system consists of County operated and contracted service providers delivering a variety of behavioral health treatment services.
