Recommendation
Approve Contract with Certified Medical Sales, LLC for regular preventative maintenance and non-routine repair services to the medical air compressors and waste anesthesia gas systems in the amount not-to-exceed $1,240,000, for the five-year period of July 15, 2025, through July 14, 2030.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The cost of $1,240,000 is funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2025-26 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Contract with Certified Medical Sales, LLC (CMS) will allow for the provision of regular preventative maintenance and unexpected repairs of medical air compressors and waste anesthesia gas (WAG) systems at ARMC. These systems serve as a critical component of ARMC life support systems by delivering purified air to and removing WAG from all patient operation and surgery rooms. Medical air and WAG systems require strict scheduled maintenance and continuous monitoring by a licensed contractor to maintain compliance with all State and Federal laws.
