RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve contract with AD Improvements, Inc., for the provision of on-call fire hazard abatement services, for the period of December 12, 2023, through August 31, 2025, for an aggregate amount of $1,050,000 for all on-call contracted fire abatement services, with two one-year options to extend the contract.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Effective December 12, 2023, the contract with AD Improvements, Inc. (ADI) will add one more vendor to the existing list of three on-call fire hazard abatement contractors. The three original contracts were approved for an estimated annual cost of $350,000, for an aggregate total not to exceed $1,050,000 for the period of September 1, 2022, through August 31, 2025. The addition of the contract with ADI will not change the original aggregate not to exceed amount of $1,050,000. Sufficient appropriation to fund this contract is included in the Land Use Services Department (LUS) - Code Enforcement (CEN) Division 2023-24 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
