RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 2, effective December 1, 2021, to Contract No. 19-732 with UpToDate, Inc., for use of UpToDate Anywhere, an evidence-based, physician-authorized clinical decision support resource, extending the contract an additional year, and increasing the total contract amount by $10,467, from $18,960 to $29,427, for the period of December 1, 2019 through November 30, 2022.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The increased cost of $10,467 for this subscription is funded by fee-for-service Medi-Cal, Managed Care Medi-Cal, private insurance, and sliding fee scale clients. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Department of Public Health's (DPH) 2021-22 budget and will be included in the 2022-23 recommended budget.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
DPH has been utilizing the UpToDate Anywhere clinical decision support resource at the Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and DPH Clinics since 2019. Approval of this amendment will allow DPH to continue to use the evidence-based, physician-authorized clinical decision support resource.
