Amendment to License Agreement with American Burn Association for Burn Care Quality Platform Software

RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve Amendment No. 1 to License Agreement No. 23-320 with American Burn Association for access to the Burn Care Quality Platform full registry cloud-based software, updating agreement language to indicate that applicable fees will be invoiced on an annual basis, and increasing the annual amount from $4,500 to $5,500, with no change to the contract term effective January 1, 2023, and automatically renewing upon payment of the annual fee.
2. Authorize the Purchasing Agent to issue future annual Purchase Orders to American Burn Association, in amounts not to exceed the Purchasing Agent's authority, for the payment of applicable annual fees under License Agreement No. 23-320.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The increased annual cost of $5,500 for software licensing is funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center's (ARMC) 2023-24 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
