FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The recommended changes will not impact costs associated with the Regional Parks Advisory Commission. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Regional Parks Department's 2020-21 budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The guidelines and rules governing activities of the Regional Parks Advisory Commission (Commission) were established when the Commission was formed in 1969. On January 26, 1987 (Item No. 29), the Board of Supervisors (Board) approved an amendment to these guidelines, including revisions to meeting dates and order of business. On December 10, 2019 (Item No. 35), the Board approved an amendment to the guidelines updating meeting dates and times, revising gender pronouns and adding term limitations for the Commission Chair.

At its May 13, 2020 meeting, the Commission approved additional revisions to these guidelines, which updates the order of business for normal meetings and clarifies voting procedures for elected members. All changes are redlined in the attached copy of the guidelines.
