RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Consider proposed ordinance relating to the Law Enforcement Staffing and Community Protection Act of 2024 and ordering that the proposal be submitted to the qualified electors at the November 5, 2024 election.
2. Make alterations, if necessary, to proposed ordinance.
3. Approve introduction of proposed ordinance.
* An ordinance of San Bernardino County, State of California, to repeal and replace Section 308 of the County Charter, and adding Section 309 and Article VIII to the County Charter relating to law enforcement staffing and community protection, and ordering that such proposal be submitted to the qualified electors at the November 5, 2024 election.
4. SCHEDULE ORDINANCE FOR FINAL ADOPTION ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 6, 2024 on the Consent Calendar.
