RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the Inland Counties Emergency Medical Agency, approve Authorization Agreement with Akima Intra-Data, LLC, to provide Basic and Advanced Life Support non-transport services within specified boundaries of Fort Irwin, for a period of five years, effective November 18, 2025 through November 17, 2030.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Applicable annual fees include medical oversight and emergency medical services vehicle inspections, currently $2,500 per agency and $500 per vehicle respectively, are outlined in Inland Counties Emergency Medical Agency's (ICEMA) annual fee resolution. Sufficient appropriation and revenue have been included in ICEMA's 2025-26 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
ICEMA, as the Local Emergency Medical Service Agency (LEMSA), is responsible for ensuring effective Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for San Bernardino, Inyo, and Mono Counties. ICEMA administers State and local regulations governing emergency medical care provided to the sick and injured at the scene and during transport to a receiving hospital.
