Approve non-financial Affiliation Agreement with Arizona Board of Regents on behalf of University of Arizona for Nurse Anesthetist program students to obtain training at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, for the period of December 5, 2023 through December 4, 2028.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as this Affiliation Agreement with Arizona Board of Regents on behalf of University of Arizona (University of Arizona) is non-financial in nature.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Affiliation Agreement with University of Arizona will enable Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) students to obtain specialized clinical training at ARMC. The volume and patient mix at ARMC will provide a suitable educational opportunity to the University of Arizona students. CRNA programs have certain requirements students must meet including clinical rotations in order to complete the programs to obtain their certifications. In order to meet these requirements, it is customary for educational institutions that operate these programs to provide their students with educational opportunities at other facilities to supplement those available at their home institution.

As a teaching hospital, ARMC has a number of agreements with universities and colleges, junior colleges, and technical and trade schools to provide on-site clinical training for students. The Affil...
