Recommendation
Approve a non-financial Affiliation Agreement with California Baptist University to enable its Master in Social Work students to participate in clinical training at the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center from October 8, 2024, through October 7, 2029.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as this Affiliation Agreement (Agreement) with California Baptist University (CBU) is non-financial in nature.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
A key component of Arrowhead Regional Medical Center's (ARMC) mission is to provide education to students in a variety of disciplines. ARMC has a number of agreements with universities, colleges, junior colleges, and technical and trade schools to provide on-site clinical training for students. This clinical training is necessary for students to obtain their degrees, licenses, and/or certifications.

The Agreement with CBU will enable its Master in Social Work students to obtain clinical training through in-person clinical rotations at ARMC. The volume and patient mix at ARMC will provide a comprehensive educational opportunity to the students from CBU. The clinical training will ensure students receive specialty clinical experience, and gain vital skills needed in developing a competent workforce.
