RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 20-573 with Ziehm Imaging, Inc. for the maintenance of medical imaging X-ray equipment, increasing the contract amount by $25,840 from $120,700 to $146,540 with no change to the contract term of July 14, 2020 through July 13, 2025.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of Amendment No. 1 (Amendment) to Contract No. 20-573 (Agreement) will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The cost of $25,840 is funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2023-24 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Amendment to the Agreement with Ziehm Imaging Inc. (Ziehm) will authorize ARMC to expend an additional $25,840 to pay for the final year of the Agreement. The Agreement was originally approved for an incorrect amount and because of that, funding for the service has been exhausted. The agreement provides maintenance service and parts for equipment used in ARMC's Medical Imaging Department (Medical Imaging), specifically for the maintenance of the C-arm that is used in vascular surgery.
