Adopt ordinance relating to rules applicable to Board of Supervisors meetings, which was introduced on June 9, 2026, Item No. 121.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Approval of the recommended action will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the ordinance adoption is non-financial in nature.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The ordinance amending section 12.0101 of the San Bernardino County Code relating to the rules applicable to Board of Supervisors (Board) meetings was introduced on June 9, 2026, Item No. 121. The ordinance includes updates to comply with the Ralph M. Brown Act, current practices, and other updates related to Board meeting operations. The recommendation before the Board today is to adopt the ordinance on the consent calendar.

 

The ordinance will become effective 30 days from the date of adoption.
