RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the San Bernardino County Flood Control District:
1. Declare that Equipment No. 051305, a 2005 Caterpillar Motor Grader (Vehicle Identification Number CAT0143HJAPN00658), with an estimated value of $65,000, is surplus equipment as it is fully depreciated, no longer meets air quality requirements, has reached the end of its service life and/or is no longer necessary to meet the needs of the San Bernardino County Flood Control District, and has been replaced.
2. Authorize the sale of the surplus fixed asset identified in Recommendation No. 1, to be coordinated through the Purchasing Department, Surplus Property Division.
3. Authorize the Director of Fleet Management to execute all necessary documentation to transfer title for the surplus fixed asset identified in Recommendation No. 1.
4. Authorize the San Bernardino County Flood Control District to retain the proceeds from the sale of the surplus fixed asset identified in Recommendation No. 1 and deposit such proceeds into the Equipment Fund to offset costs of future equipment purchases.

Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The fully depreciated equipment value is estimated at $65,000 based on proceeds from recent auctions of similar fixed assets.
