RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the of the Inland Counties Emergency Medical Agency, approve a revenue contract with the State for California, Department of California Highway Patrol, Air Operations, to receive $20,000 ($4,000 per year), for providing access to the ICEMA's Emergency Medical Services data system for the term July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2026, for statewide inclusion into the national database.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not require the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Inland Counties Emergency Medical Agency (ICEMA) will receive a total of $20,000 for allowing the Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) to access ICEMA's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) data system over a period of five years. Sufficient appropriation and revenue have been included in ICEMA's 2021-22 Recommended Budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
ICEMA, as the local Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agency, is responsible for ensuring effective EMS for the Counties of San Bernardino, Inyo, and Mono. ICEMA administers State and local codes and regulations governing the provision of emergency medical care to the sick and injured at the scene of an emergency and during transport to a care hospital.
