Recommendation
Approve employment contract with Daniel Evans for the provision of Historic Site Manager services at Agua Mansa Cemetery in Colton, for the estimated annual total compensation cost of $47,770 (Salary - $14,560, Benefits - $33,210), for the period of August 6, 2025, through August 5, 2026.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this employment Contract (Contract) will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The total annual compensation package for the Contract is $47,770. This is based on a cash stipend ($14,560), use of the residence (valued at $28,210) including utilities (valued at $5,000). Sufficient appropriation and revenue for this Contract will be included in the County Museum's (Museum) 2025-26 recommended budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Museum is tasked with developing visitors' appreciation of the county's diverse regional identity and administers five museum branch sites throughout the county to achieve its mission. The Agua Mansa Pioneer Cemetery (Agua Mansa) in Colton is currently operated as a historic branch site of the Museum. The cemetery is a historic burial ground associated with the Agua Mansa and La Placita communities, the first non-native settlements in the region.

Approval of this Contract will authorize the employment of a resident Historic Site Manager, Daniel Evans, for Agua Mansa for the period of August 6, 2025, through August 5, 2026. On August 6, 2024 (Item No. 26), the Board of Supervisors approved the Employment Contract No. 24-709...
