RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve contract with Community Solutions, Inc. for Juvenile Program Administrator Services, for a total not to exceed amount of $9,000,000, for the three-year period of September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2027, with the option to extend the term by one additional two-year period or two additional one-year periods.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The total cost of the contracted services will not exceed $9,000,000 over the three-year period from September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2027, with an anticipated annual cost of $3,000,000. Costs under the recommended contract include funding for sub-contracted services, program materials, staffing, operating, and administrative expenses. The contract will be funded by the Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA) Chapter 353, Statutes of 2000 (Assembly Bill 1913) and the Youthful Offender Block Grant (YOBG). Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Probation Department's (Probation) 2024-25 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
