Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to non-financial Master Affiliation Agreement No. 21-02 with Children's Hospital Los Angeles, adding a clinical rotation in pediatric anesthesiology for Arrowhead Regional Medical Center anesthesiology resident physicians to obtain clinical experience, with no change to the current term of January 5, 2021 through January 4, 2026.

Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the Affiliation Agreement for Graduate Medical Education with Children's Hospital Los Angeles is non-financial in nature.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This Amendment No. 1 (Amendment) to the Agreement provides and will enable Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) anesthesiology resident physicians to participate in a rotation at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in pediatric anesthesiology. It allows ARMC to continue to provide a well-rounded education program for its resident physicians and to collaborate with CHLA.

ARMC operates accredited residency programs in anesthesia, emergency medicine, family practice, general surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, psychiatry, and neurology, as well as fellowship programs.
