RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of County Service Area 70, approve Amendment No. 2 to Revenue Agreement No. 21-193 with the City of Twentynine Palms for continued preventative maintenance, emergency response, and support services for the City of Twentynine Palms' sewer collection system, increasing the contract amount by $146,794 from $199,689 to $346,483, and extending by two years, for a total term of March 1, 2021 through March 31, 2026.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). County Service Area 70 (CSA 70) shall receive additional compensation, not to exceed $146,794, for providing continued preventative maintenance, emergency response, and support services for the City of Twentynine Palms' (City) sewer collection system (Maintenance Services), during the extended agreement period of April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2026. The compensation amount includes a 4% annual increase. Sufficient appropriation and are included in the CSA 70 2023-24 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
