Recommendation
Approve a Memorandum of Understanding with Arrowhead Regional Medical Center Foundation to support its operations and expand its philanthropic impact on Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in an amount not to exceed $1,005,000, for the period of April 1, 2023 through March 31, 2026.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as costs of $1,005,000 for the support of the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center Foundation (Foundation) operations are funded by departmental revenue. Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) will provide the Foundation with an amount not to exceed $335,000 per year for a total amount not to exceed $1,005,000. Adequate appropriation and revenue are included in the ARMC 2022-23 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The recommended Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will allow ARMC to provide $335,000 each year for three years to cover administrative staffing, marketing, and community outreach costs for the Foundation. These funds, separate from any charitable funds, allows the Foundation to continue its philanthropic activities for the benefit of ARMC, expand ARMC's community engagement efforts, strengthen ARMC's legislative affairs, and sustain ARMC's marketing and volunteer efforts.
