RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve the addition of the following four vendors to the list of prequalified vendors that may provide the County road materials on future road projects for the period of July 14, 2020 through June 30, 2022.
a. Bowman Asphalt, Inc. (Bakersfield, CA)
b. CEMEX Construction Material Pacific, LLC (Shafter, CA)
c. Main Street Materials, Inc. (San Juan Capistrano, CA)
d. Manhole Adjusting, Inc. (Pico Rivera, CA)
2. Authorize the Purchasing Agent to add the vendors identified in Recommendation No.1 to existing Contract No. 4400003262 for the provision of road materials.
3. Approve the Agreement template (Attachment A) which will be made part of the Contract for the vendors identified in Recommendation No. 1.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Department of Public Works - Transportation (Department) is funded by Gas Tax revenues and other local, state, and federal funding. Projects utilizing Contract No. 4400003262 include pavement and preservation projects funded by Discretionary General Funding and routine maintenance projects funded by Gas Tax revenue and Senate Bill 1 (SB1) Road Maintenance Rehabilitation Account (RMRA) funds.
