RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Revenue Interim Use Permit with Longhouse of the Orange Skies for the use of a portion of Yucaipa Regional Park to hold the Indian Guides Fall Campout scheduled for October 18 - 20, 2019, whereby the Regional Parks Department will receive $11,300 in use fees.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this Interim Use Permit (Permit) does not require the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Under this Permit, Longhouse of the Orange Skies (Permittee), will pay the Regional Parks Department (Department) $11,100 for use of a portion of Yucaipa Regional Park (Park) for three days, October 18, 2019 through October 20, 2019. Permittee also agrees to pay a $200 event contract preparation fee. All fees charged to the Permittee are consistent with the 2019-20 Board approved fee schedule.

The Permittee will also submit a $2,500 deposit to be used for any possible damages incurred to County property due to the Permittee's use of Park. Permittee will be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits, licenses and applicable approvals as well as securing the required insurance for this event. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Department's 2019-20 budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Department operates and maintains nine regional parks including Yucaipa Regional Park, located in the city of Yucaipa, and provides for the rental of park property through Board approved fees. The recommended Permit between ...
