RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Revenue Agreement with the California Department of Food and Agriculture, Division of Measurement Standards (State Agreement No. 19-0220-000-SA) for the Department of Agriculture/Weights & Measures to continue to provide site inspections of assigned junk dealers and recycler establishments licensed as Weighmasters to determine compliance with State law, on behalf of the State of California, for the period of July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020 for a total amount not to exceed $17,280.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The revenue agreement specifies a term from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020, for a maximum reimbursement of $17,280. Appropriation and revenue that is included in the Department of Agriculture / Weights & Measures (AWM) 2019-20 budget is less than the amount specified in the revenue agreement. Approval of budget adjustments to AWM's 2019-20 budget is not requested at this time, but may be included on a future quarterly countywide budget report presented to the Board of Supervisors for approval. Services per the revenue agreement will be fulfilled by the existing AWM staff.
