Recommendation
Authorize the Director of Public Works to submit a claim to the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority, in the amount of $175,919 for the remaining portion of the County of San Bernardino 2019-20 Local Transportation Funds - Article 8 allocation.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) or cost to the Department of Public Works (Department) as this item requests authorization to submit a claim to the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) for additional revenue in the amount of $175,919, which is made available through the Local Transportation Funds (LTF) program. Once the claim form is approved by the SBCTA, the revenue will be deposited into the Department's Road Operations fund (6650002000) for use in financing road maintenance work in the desert regions of the County.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Annually, the County submits a claim to SBCTA for allocation of the remaining LTF dollars for road maintenance work in the desert regions of the County. If approved by SBCTA, the claim amount $175,919, which represents the remaining County of San Bernardino (County) 2019-20 LTF allocation under Division 10, Part 11, Chapter 4, Article 8 of the Public Utilities Code, will finance road maintenance work in the High Desert and East Desert regions of the County.
