RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 3, effective November 5, 2019, to Contract No. 15-339 with Inland Valley Drug and Alcohol Recovery Services for Substance Use Disorder and Recovery Services Recovery Residences, adding four additional locations and removing one location, with no change to the contract amount of $718,594 or the contract period of July 1, 2015 through September 30, 2020.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The recommended contract amendment provides for additional recovery residence locations with no increase to the total contract amount of $718,594. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Department of Behavioral Health's (DBH) 2019-20 budget and will be included in the 2020-21 recommended budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
DBH Substance Use Disorder and Recovery Services (SUDRS) Recovery Residences (RR), formerly known as Transitional Housing Supportive Services, provides transitional housing units in a sober living environment for adults and adults with children. The goal of the program is to provide a secure environment for the individual/family while preparing the client to obtain secure permanent housing. Attendance in recovery and/or treatment services is mandatory.
