Approve Agreement with Medarcus, LLC for SurePatient Registration and Data Quality Reporting in an amount not to exceed $526,000 for the period of November 18, 2019 through November 17, 2021.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of Agreement with Medarcus, LLC (Medarcus) will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the $526,000 for the SurePatient Registration and Data Quality Reporting (SurePatient) licensing are funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Sufficient appropriation and revenue are included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2019-20 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Medarcus is a pioneering healthcare product and service company leveraging applied research to provide patient safety, regulatory compliance and revenue recovery solutions. The SurePatient Registration and Data Quality Reporting products will allow ARMC to better identify patients at the first point of contact and reduce the number of duplicate medical records.
