RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District, adopt by reference the County of San Bernardino policies identified as "Applicable" and the "Notes" in Attachment A, as the policies of the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as this item is non-financial in nature.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
On January 16, 2008, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) adopted Resolution No. 2989 in connection with LAFCO No. 3000 that approved the County Fire Reorganization, subject to specific conditions of approval. One such item was Condition of Approval No. 7, which requested the Board of Directors (Board) of the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District (SBCFPD) to review and ratify ordinances, resolutions, policies and practices, MOUs, and operations directives that existed on July 1, 2008.

On July 22, 2008 (Item No. 63), the Board ratified all MOUs currently existing with any agency, department or bargaining unit, Special Districts Department's Policy Guidelines, Rules and Regulations, Personnel Rules, Fire Operations Directives, Ordinances, Resolutions, and any other governing documents not specifically mentioned.
