RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 3, effective June 2, 2020, to County Revenue Contract No. 19-457 (State Revenue Agreement No. AP-1920-20) with the California Department of Aging for Area Plan services, extending the contract for one year for State funded General Nutrition Augmentation Programs (C1 -$266,476 and C2- $541,016), for a total contract period of July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021, with no change to the total contract amount of $9,200,959.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Area Plan (AP) General Nutrition Augmentation Program services in the total amount of $807,492 are 100% State allocated from the California Department of Aging (CDA). Sufficient appropriation and revenue have been included in the Department of Aging and Adult Services' (DAAS) 2019-20 budget and will be included in the 2020-21 recommended budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The recommended amendment extends the contract term for the State funded Nutrition Augmentation program an additional year, through June 30, 2021. This extension allows for the State funded General Nutrition Augmentation funds in the increased amount of $807,492 approved February 11, 2020 (Item No. 4), to be expended over the additional year term.
