RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Conduct a public hearing on proposed ordinance amending Section 16.0226 of the County Code to fix a clerical error in a fee amount.
2. Make alterations, if necessary, to proposed ordinance.
3. Approve introduction of proposed ordinance.
4. Read title only of proposed ordinance; waive reading of entire text and SCHEDULE A PUBLIC HEARING FOR FINAL ADOPTION ON JULY 14, 2020.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). This amendment will change the Sheriff's Body Removal fee from $238 to $283. The estimated impact to fee revenue is approximately $75,465.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
On April 7, 2020, Item No. 57, a public hearing was conducted and an ordinance relating to the 2020-21 proposed annual County Fee Ordinance was introduced. On April 21, 2020, Item No. 85, it was adopted. The recommendation today will correct a clerical error under Section 16.0226, subdivision (v)(5) (Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator, Body Removal) to reflect a change in the fee amount from $238 to $283.
