RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District (SBCFPD), approve agreement with Buckskin Fire District (BFD), a fire district located in Parker, Arizona, for BFD to provide fire protection and advanced life support services to the County unincorporated area of Parker Dam at a cost of $50,000 annually from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2025.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the cost of this agreement will be funded through a savings from the elimination of SBCFPD Paid-Call Firefighters used previously to provide service for Parker Dam and the surrounding area.
In accordance with this agreement, SBCFPD will compensate BFD for the cost of providing fire protection and advanced life support services in the amount of $50,000 for the first year of the agreement. Through future amendments approved by both parties, this amount may be increased in subsequent years based on BFD's personnel costs and other factors. Appropriation for this agreement is included in SBCFPD's 2020-21 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.
