Recommendation
Authorize the San Bernardino County Museum to accept a donation in the amount of $150,000 from the San Bernardino County Museum Association to be used for museum exhibits and programming, admission underwriting, collections care, staff professional development, and education supplies.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
The recommended action is acceptance of a donation and will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). Appropriation and revenue associated with this donation is included in the Museum's 2019-20 budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The San Bernardino County Museum Association (Museum Association) is the 501(c)(3) support organization for the San Bernardino County Museum (Museum) providing funding to the Museum from fundraising activities. This donation was recommended and approved by the Museum Association Board of Directors on February 19, 2019 and represents an allocation committed by the Museum Association for 2019-20. The donation is being used for museum exhibits and programming, admission underwriting, collections care, staff professional development, and education supplies. Examples of funded projects include the Museums for All admissions program, Dome Talks speaker series, a wildfire exhibit, and the Impressions of Blue Cut exhibit.
