RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve amendment No. 1 to the Memorandum of Understanding (Agreement No. 18-59) with the Superior Court of San Bernardino County for the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator to provide security services at the Big Bear Courthouse, extending the period by 18-months from July 1, 2020 through December 31, 2021.
2. Authorize the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator, Undersheriff, or Assistant Sheriff to execute non-substantive amendments to the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the County, subject to County Counsel review.
3. Direct the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator, Undersheriff, of Assistant Sheriff to transmit all amendments in relation to the Memorandum of Understanding to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors within 30 days of execution.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Superior Court of San Bernardino County will reimburse the Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator (Department) $18,808 for the continuation of security services at the Big Bear courthouse from July 1, 2020 through December 31, 2021.
