Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 20-233 with Oracle Investigations Group, Inc., an investigative services provider for the County’s self-insured general liability and workers’ compensation claims program, to change their name to Oracle Investigations Group, LLC, and update their tax identification number to 85-2216077, with no change to the terms of the contract or contracted fee schedule.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The recommended amendment is to update the contractor name and federal tax identification number and has no financial impact.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
On August 21, 2020, the Department of Risk Management was informed that Oracle Investigations Group, Inc. had changed its organizational status from a corporation to a limited liability company effective July 28. 2020. As a result, its name has changed to Oracle Investigations Group, LLC and its federal tax identification number has changed to 85-2216077. Due to the new name and federal tax identification number, an amendment to the contract is required.
Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 20-233 will enable Oracle Investigations Group, LLC to provide uninterrupted investigative services for liability and workers’ compensation claims with no change to the original contracted fee schedule. Under the new name and tax identification number, Oracle Investigations Group, LLC will assume and perform all responsibilities, duties and obligations of its predecessor under Contract No. 20-233.
PROCUREMENT
On April 21, 2020 (Item No. 67), as a result of the competitive procurement process, ePro Bid No. RFP No. RMG120-RMADM-3566, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract No. 20-233 with Oracle Investigations Group, Inc., along with 17 other investigative services contractors at the estimated aggregate cost of $1,205,000, for the five-year period of May 6, 2020 through May 5, 2025.
