RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Accept a Sub-grant award and approve Sub-grant Revenue Agreement (No. AA111030) with the State of California Employment Development Department, in the amount of $5,654,633 for the period of April 1, 2020 to June 30, 2022, to provide Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Services for Program Year 2020-21.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). This revenue agreement will bring in $5,654,633 of initial youth program funding to the County of San Bernardino (County). Adequate appropriation and revenue were included in the Workforce Development Department's (WDD) 2020-21 budget.

This is the initial allocation to be supplemented by additional program funds throughout the fiscal year. Additional Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) allocations will be automatically added to the sub-grant through grant modifications within the availability period of the sub-grant. The State of California Employment Development Department (EDD) does not require new grant modifications to be signed. If variations to future allocation amounts occur, they will be presented to the Board of Supervisors (Board) as countywide quarterly budget adjustments.
