Recommendation
1. Conduct a study session regarding the provision of emergency and non-emergency ground ambulance service in the (8) eight exclusive operating areas under contract with American Medical Response.
2. Provide direction to staff regarding the continuation of the emergency medical service assessment project.

There is no financial impact as a result of this item. The Chief Executive Officer will report back to the Board on any estimated future costs of implementing direction received from the Board pursuant to this item.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Conduct a study session regarding the provision of emergency and non-emergency ground ambulance service in the (8) eight exclusive operating areas under contract with American Medical Response (Contract # 12-254) most recently extended on March 19, 2019 (Item# 46) for a three year term, for the period of April 1, 2019 through March 31, 2022. To provide a progress report on efforts and accomplishments of the EMS Assessment Project since the last workshop on August 18, 2020.
