RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Approve Amendment No. 1 to Consultant Services Agreement No. 19-383 with ECG Management Consultants to expand the scope of work to include additional Arrowhead Regional Medical Center contracted physician services agreements, fair market valuations and performance services and increase the contract amount by $737,566, from $637,434 to a not to exceed amount of $1,375,000, and to extend the contract for an additional year for a total contract term of July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2023.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The additional costs are funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, and private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2020-21 budget.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Approval of the recommendation will allow ARMC to continue to work with ECG Management Consultants (ECG) on managing physician service agreements making sure they are within fair market value (FMV) for the area, as well as ensuring compliance with approved agreements and required local, state, and federal guidelines.
