FINANCIAL IMPACT
The recommended Program Letter of Agreement is non-financial in nature and as such, does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost).

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Under the terms of the recommended agreement, the Department of Public Health (DPH) will provide medical residents in the Preventive Medicine Residency Program of Loma Linda University Health Education Consortium (LLUH) the opportunity to train at various DPH Clinic and Health Center Sites. This collaborative effort will allow medical residents to gain valuable experience in a variety of public health sectors, including environmental health, disease control, maternal and child health, clinical health and prevention services. This program will help resident physicians receive the skills they need to prosper in the 21st century economy, which aligns with the San Bernardino Countywide Vision2Succeed initiative.
