Recommendation
Accept grant award (Award No. 6 H80CS00657-19-07), from the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration for the Health Center Program to support the Department of Public Health's Federally Qualified Health Centers located in the High Desert and Valley Regions, in the amount of $279,598, for the period of March 1, 2020 through February 28, 2021.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The grant award in the amount of $279,598 from the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) does not require a match. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Department of Public Health's (DPH) 2020-21 budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
HRSA's Health Center Program provides funding to support local health jurisdictions' comprehensive primary health care services. The grant award will be utilized for operational support of DPH's four Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) located in Adelanto, Hesperia, Ontario, and San Bernardino.
