RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the San Bernardino County Flood Control District, approve Planning Memorandum of Understanding with the San Bernardino Valley Water Conservation District to evaluate flood control facilities for dual use for flood control and stormwater recharge purposes for a term of 10-years, commencing on the last date of the party's signatures, with the options to extend for two additional 10-year terms, pursuant to written amendment signed by both parties.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The proposed Planning Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is non-financial and therefore does not commit the San Bernardino County Flood Control District (District) to any expenditure other than existing staff time. Sufficient appropriation has been included in the District's 2020-21 budget.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The proposed MOU with the San Bernardino Valley Water Conservation District (SBVWCD) delineates the responsibilities of the District and SBVWCD to work cooperatively in the planning and evaluation of the possible joint use of District facilities for both flood control and stormwater recharge operations.
