Recommendation
Approve non-financial Resident Affiliation Agreement with Riverside Healthcare System, L.P. dba Riverside Community Hospital for Riverside Community Hospital resident physicians, to obtain clinical experience at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, for the period of March 1, 2021, through February 28, 2026.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of the Resident Affiliation Agreement will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). This agreement in non-financial in nature.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This affiliation agreement will allow physicians in the Riverside Community Hospital (RCH) surgery resident program to obtain clinical experience at the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) facilities in order to meet physician requirements for completion of the residency program and specialty board eligibility. The resident affiliation agreement will provide for the health and social services needs of County residents by ensuring that RCH resident physicians receive specialty clinical training and experience, resulting in the delivery of specialized medical care to ARMC patients, including County residents.

RCH operates an Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education accredited surgical residency program. This residency program has specific requirements as to the number and types of patients to whom a resident physician must provide care. In order to meet these requirements, ...
