RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve Amendment No. 34 to Revenue Contract No. 94-526 with the City of Yucaipa, increasing the contract by $50,574 from $10,192,142 to $10,242,716 for additional law enforcement services, with no change to the contract term of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.
2. Authorize the addition of one regular position classified as Deputy Sheriff, Safety Unit, R16 ($68,536 - $105,789 annually) to fulfill contract law enforcement services as requested by the City of Yucaipa.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The County will be reimbursed for all direct costs of providing services and various administrative costs. In addition, overtime, fuel and vehicle maintenance are billed to the city quarterly based on actual cost. The increase of $50,574 is the 2-month cost for the addition of one Deputy Sheriff position for the City of Yucaipa (City) law enforcement services contract. A budget adjustment is not requested at this time, but will be included in a future quarterly budget report presented to the Board of Supervisors (Board) for approval, if necessary.
