RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve the plans and specifications for the Slover Avenue Drainage and Traffic Signal Improvement Project in the Bloomington area as signed and sealed by a registered civil engineer.
2. Authorize the Director of the Department of Public Works to advertise the Slover Avenue Drainage and Traffic Signal Improvement Project in the Bloomington area for bids.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Department of Public Works (Department) is funded by Gas Tax revenue, fee revenue and other state and local funding. The recommended actions are administrative in nature, and will have minimal financial impact. Sufficient appropriation and revenue are included in the Department's 2020-21 Road Operations budget (6650002000 35H14970 and 17H14967).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Slover Avenue Drainage and Traffic Signal Improvement Project in the Bloomington area (Project) includes: (1) the construction of cross gutters, curb and gutter, sidewalk infill, pavement reconstruction and curb ramp replacement in accordance with current design standards and pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on Slover Avenue at Alder Avenue and Locust Avenue; (2) the installation of drainage inlets and minor pavement reconstruction on Alder Avenue at Slover Avenue; and (3) the in...
