Recommendation
Approve residency/fellowship training affiliation agreement with Loma Linda - Inland Empire Consortium for Healthcare Education for their psychiatry residents/fellows to obtain clinical experience with the Department of Behavioral Health, in the amount not to exceed $2,418,532, for the period of July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2026.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
This item does not impact Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) will reimburse Loma Linda - Inland Empire Consortium for Healthcare Education (LLIECHE) for the salary and benefits of four psychiatry resident/fellow positions. The recommended total reimbursement amount of $2,418,532 ($424,778 in 2021-22, $452,388 in 2022-23, $481,794 in 2023-24, $513,110 in 2024-25, and $546,462 in 2025-26) will be 100% funded with Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Workforce Education & Training (WET) funding. Adequate appropriation and revenue will be included in DBH's 2021-22 recommended budget and future recommended budgets.
