RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
Acting as the governing body of the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District, adopt the Designation of Applicant's Agent Resolution for Non-State Agencies from the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services, authorizing the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District's Fire Chief/Fire Warden and Deputy Fire Chief to execute reimbursement claims on behalf of San Bernardino County Fire Protection District for the purpose of obtaining federal and/or state financial assistance as compensation for costs resulting from all open and future disasters for a period of up to three years through June 7, 2024.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item, which will not result in the use of additional Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost), extends San Bernardino County Fire Protection District's (SBCFPD) eligibility to receive federal/state funds for reimbursement of costs associated with disaster events.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is requiring that a new Designation of Applicant's Agent Resolution for Non-State Agencies (Cal OES Form 130) be adopted by the SBCFPD Board of Directors (Board).
