BACKGROUND INFORMATION
San Bernardino County’s elected Sheriff/Coroner/Public Administrator, John McMahon, announced his retirement on June 18, 2021, effective July 16, 2021, which will cause a vacancy in this office. In accordance with San Bernardino County Charter, Section 306, and County Code Section 12.0104, the Board of Supervisors will provide direction on the process and procedure for filling the vacancy for the remainder of the term.
