RECOMMENDATION(S)
Recommendation
1. Approve Contract with R.F. MacDonald Company, for the unexpected repairs of boilers and steam systems at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, in the not to exceed amount of $1,000,000 for the period of July 27, 2021 through October 2, 2022.
2. Approve Contract with R.F. MacDonald Company, for the preventative maintenance of boilers and steam systems at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, in the not to exceed amount of $400,000 for the period of July 27, 2021 through October 2, 2022.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of this item with R.F. MacDonald Company (R.F. MacDonald) will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost). The total not to exceed cost of $1,400,000 for the two contracts is funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenues. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Adequate appropriation and revenue have been included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2021-22 budget and will be included in the 2022-23 recommended budget.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
