Approve Agreement with RQI Partners, LLC, to provide resuscitation training, in the amount of $111,345 for the period of July 27, 2021 through July 26, 2025.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of the recommended agreement will not result in the use of Discretionary General Funding (Net County Cost) as the cost of $111,345 is funded by State Medi-Cal, Federal Medicare, private insurances, and other departmental revenue. Funding sources may change in the future pending any legislative activity related to the repeal and/or replacement of the Affordable Care Act. Sufficient appropriation and revenue are included in the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) 2021-22 budget and will be included in future recommended budgets.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The agreement with RQI Partners, LLC (RQI) will allow ARMC to purchase virtual resuscitation trainings approved by the American Heart Association (AHA). Due to the impacts of COVID, in-person trainings were canceled and there became an urgent need for remote education. The contract includes Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support trainings. Combined, these products will allow for the delivery of training needed for a four-year resuscitation license (initial and renewal) without the need for in-person training or group classes.
